Visit to President Erdoğan from the MUSIAD Delegation

MUSIAD delegation, headed by President Abdurrahman Kaan paid a visit to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MUSIAD) Chairman Abdurrahman Kaan paid a visit to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan with his delegation of MUSIAD at the Presidential Complex. At the meeting where issues related to the agenda were evaluated, President Erdoğan's recently announced 100-day action plan and issues related to the future of the economy were discussed.

President Kaan made a presentation about MUSIAD's activities in Turkey and abroad, their projects and future targets. Kaan stated that MUSIAD is going to have cooperation agreements all over the world with their vision of “Trade Diplomacy”. In line with this understanding, Kaan stated that they served in 207 different points in 74 countries abroad.

”We are ready to shoulder responsibility“

Underlining that they attach special importance to Africa as MUSIAD, Kaan emphasized that they declared 2018 as the “Africa Year”. Kaan pointed out that the organization work on Africa is continuing and that they are now serving with 3 branches and 7 representative offices in Africa, and that they aim to open representative offices in 30 countries by the end of the year.

Kaan stated that they continue their activities in line with Turkey's 2023 vision and that in this context, they have developed many projects for the development of Turkey's production to increase and industrial development. Kaan stated that they are trying to establish industrial sites called as TOSİ in 81 provinces for medium-scale industrialists. Kaan said that they have created one of the building blocks of Turkey’s growth strategy by producing with this project.

In his presentation, he stated that MUSIAD does not only work as a business people's association and said that they have a helping hand to people who live in oppressed geographies under difficult conditions. Kaan emphasized that they provided assistance to countries such as Syria, Palestine, Arakan and Somalia and stated that they are always ready to take responsibility as MUSIAD.

After visiting President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the MUSIAD delegation met with Vice President Fuat Oktay. During the meeting, activities of MUSIAD in Turkey and abroad, expectations from the new government and current economic developments were discussed. The delegation wished Oktay success in his new position and ended the visit after the gift presentation.
